The Brady Bunch was a television situation comedy that ran on ABC from 1969 to 1974. Starring Robert Reed and Florence Henderson, the show was about a large blended family.

References

• Kermit the Frog mentions Florence Henderson's role on the show as a mother of six (and her offstage role as a mother of four) when introducing her number, "Elusive Butterfly" on episode 107 of The Muppet Show.

• Sesame Street spoofed the theme song in 1996 as "Telly's Lunch."

• Sesame Street also parodied the theme with a song insert, "The Braid-y Bunch," about girls who love to braid their hair. (First: Episode 3357)

• A character by the name of Jan Brady appears in the 2004 resource video Happy, Healthy, Ready for School.

• Ernie and Bert sing a part of the theme song in their appearance on Elle.

• On Episode 208 of Muppets Tonight, Christopher Darden tells Kermit that all throughout the O. J. Simpson trial, it was nothing but "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" (a quote from The Brady Bunch episode "Her Sister's Shadow," but here referring to lead prosecutor Marcia Clark).
