& Juliet is a jukebox musical, using the music of songwriter Max Martin. Originally produced in Manchester (2019) and in London's West End (2019-2023), the production came to Broadway in 2022.
On October 4, 2023, the musical's YouTube account released a video with Elmo, Gabrielle, and Tango interacting with cast members Lorna Courtney (Juliet) and Betsy Wolfe (Anne). Gabrielle says that she'd love to be on Broadway, but she would be nervous. Courtney and Wolfe explain that they do an exercise called "the lion roar" to let out their feelings. They then sing the Katy Perry song "Roar."
For every & Juliet ticket sold between October 4 and October 10, & Juliet donated $1 to Sesame Workshop, up to $10,000.[1]
