"9 to 5" is a song originally written and performed by Dolly Parton for the 1980 film 9 to 5, starring herself, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. The song was later nominated for an Academy Award.
A new version of the song was used in a 2018 advertisement by IBM. The ad features a brief cameo by Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird, who sings as he points to a 9 and 5. Oscar is quick to point out the lyric's datedness, claiming people don't leave work at five o'clock anymore.
