"A Very Simple Dance" is a Sesame Street song that has been performed by many different people over the years. The song presents "a very simple dance" that becomes more elaborate and difficult over the course of several verses, ending in an exhausting double-time sprint.
It has been performed by David and the kids in episodes, including Episode 0737, 0841, and 1600, and Mike and the kids in Episode 2729. A non-musical version of the song was led by Jason Alexander in a season 28 insert. (First: Episode 3557)
It was featured in the first and third editions of Sesame Street Live, as well as the Sesame Place stage show Big Bird & Company Musical Review.
