Walk-around versions of Abby Cadabby have been created for public appearances, including the Sesame Place theme parks and Sesame Street Live stage tours.
Abby Cadabby made her debut in walk-around form in 2007, first appearing in the stage show Elmo and the Bookaneers at SeaWorld Orlando before joining the line-up of characters at Sesame Place. Other early appearances include the 2007 The White House Easter Egg Roll hosted by Laura Bush and presenting the Good Neighbor Award at Glenville School in Greenwich, Pennsylvania.[1]
Abby made her debut in Sesame Street Live in the 2007 show When Elmo Grows Up (an updated version of the 1993 show When I Grow Up).
Outside of Sesame Place, Abby also appears at SeaWorld parks, Busch Gardens, Beaches Resorts (since 2007), Universal Studios Japan (since 2008), PortAventura (since 2011), Universal Studios Singapore, and Selva Mágica. Abby also appeared at the now defunct La Feria de Chapultepec and Parque Plaza Sésamo (joined in 2009), and formerly appeared at SeaWorld San Diego.
Since her puppet counterpart got a wardrobe change in season 49, Abby has been seen wearing her updated outfit at places such as SeaWorld Orlando. Most of the time, however, she appears in her traditional dress.
Abby Cadabby is maintained by VStar Entertainment (née VEE Corporation) and Animax Designs.
