"Addition" is a Sesame Street song from the "Monsterpiece Theater" spoof of Fiddler on the Roof.
In a song that parodies Fiddler's opening number "Tradition," the lead singer (Jerry Nelson) sings about how his Russian village keeps track of the number of fiddlers playing on the roof using addition. By the time they count 4 fiddlers, the roof collapses and the fiddlers land in Alistair Cookie's library.
Writer Emily Kingsley cites this as her favorite parody that she's written.[1]
