"Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" was first popularized by Louis Jordan, whose recording reached the top of the charts in 1946 (#6 on the U.S. pop charts; #1 on the R&B charts for 17 weeks).
Gonzo performs "Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" with the chickens in episode 502 of The Muppet Show.
The puppet that would become Armstrong the Chicken Hawk on The Animal Show made its first appearance in this song (on the top right corner of the image to the right).
