"Aladdin," also known as "Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp", is a story from One Thousand and One Nights. An 18th-century addition to the collection by Hanna Diyab and Antoine Galland, the fairy tale is arguably the Nights' best-known story, and it has been depicted or spoofed by the Muppets on several occasions.

- When The Muppet Show featured a sketch with Aladdin in episode 518, the character was played by Gonzo.
- In Episode 114 of Fraggle Rock, Ma Gorg tells the "great Gorgic myth" of Aladdin to Junior Gorg, who performs a song about what he would do if he had a genie.
- Gina reads a Grouch variation of the story in Episode 2596 of Sesame Street to Irvine.
- David Alan Grier guest starred as Aladdin in Sesame Street Episode 4025.
- In The Sesame Street Storytime Calendar 1982, the month of January parodied this story with Ernie playing the role of Aladdin and Big Bird portraying the Genie.
