Alanis Morissette (b. 1974) is a Canadian-American singer and songwriter who broke onto the alternative rock scene in the mid-1990s. Her album Jagged Little Pill achieved worldwide fame and generated the hit singles "You Oughta Know," "Hand in My Pocket," and her highest-charting hit "Ironic."

In 2020, she made a guest appearance on the season finale of the streaming series Fraggle Rock: Rock On!, playing with Gobo and Wembley Fraggle in a virtual music jam session.

Morissette's other acting credits include Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and a recurring role on Weeds. In film, she played God in the Kevin Smith comedy Dogma. As a pre-teen, she appeared as a regular in several episodes of the children's television sketch comedy series You Can't Do That on Television.
