Alf Marholm (1918-2006) was a German voice actor who dubbed Count von Count on Sesamstrasse, from 1973 until his death. He also dubbed Edgar Bergen for his guest appearance on Die Muppet Show (The Muppet Show).
A veteran of German film and television, Marholm was a frequent character player in the German Edgar Wallace mysteries (both The Red Circle and The Terrible People) and other movies (including the 1979 English language film Son of Hitler, as a judge, with Peter Capell). On TV, he was a regular on Percy Stuart (with Claus Wilcke) as British club member Mr. Beverly for the first two seasons in 1969. He played administrative director Alfred Mühlmann on the 1980s drama series The Black Forest Clinic (which also aired in England) and had guest roles on Tatort, Derrick, Sherlock Holmes, and others.
Marholm frequently lent his voice to cultured, sometimes villainous actors such as Edward Arnold, Sydney Greenstreet, and Vincent Price in Master of the World, as well as Robert Morley in Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? and Akim Tamiroff in The Great McGinty. Marholm's TV dub credits included many guest stars on Columbo and Murder, She Wrote, Martin Landau on Bonanza, and Richard Vernon as Slartibartfast on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
