Alfonso Ribeiro with the Frog Scouts

Alfonso Ribeiro (b. 1971) is an actor who is perhaps best known for playing Carlton Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. As a child actor in 1984, Ribeiro was interviewed by Robin and the Frog Scouts in Muppet Magazine issue 8, discussing his starring role on Broadway as The Tap Dance Kid and his Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson, with a brief mention of his upcoming role on the TV series Silver Spoons (as Alfonso Spears, Ricky's best friend). The troop presents Ribiero with the Boogie Badge.

Ribeiro's other credits include the sitcom In the House (regular as Dr. Maxwell Stanton, 1995-1999), voice roles on the animated series Spider-Man and Extreme Ghostbusters, and directing episodes of the series One on One and All of Us. He also has hosted the GSN game show "Catch 21", and is the current host of America's Funniest Home Videos.
