"Alice Keep Dreaming" is a song written for the stage production of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
Arriving late at the talent show, Alice Otter is denied entry in the competition by Harrison Fox, and finds herself questioning the choices she's made. Pa Otter appears in spirit, singing to his widow in an effort to restore some faith in her abilities.
When Alice asks how he could be appearing to her, Pa replies, "It's a Christmas story, Alice. Every Christmas story needs a ghost."
