Allan Carr (1937-1999) was a producer and talent agent whose most notable credit was producing the 1978 film version of Grease (and adapting the script from the stage version). He appeared in the 1979 special The Muppets Go Hollywood, escorting Valerie Perrine.
Carr produced several TV specials for Ann-Margret, co-wrote the Village People vehicle Can't Stop the Music (directed by Nancy Walker), and produced Grease 2 and Cloak & Dagger (with Dabney Coleman). He occasionally ventured on Broadway, producing the 1983 musical La Cage Aux Follies as well as a repertory revival of Much Ado About Nothing and Cyrano de Bergerac (both starring Derek Jacobi).
