"Alma Mamma" is the theme song used for the Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School sketches on Sesame Street.
The tune, spoofing traditional college anthems, is sung by Roosevelt Franklin and his students over an image of the school's exterior, referring to it as their "alma mamma" (per the term alma mater, referring to one's school or college). Some sketches superimpose the Muppets over the image. An ending variant of the song was used to conclude particular segments.
A marching band arrangement of the song would later serve as the intro for the Headball segments.
