Alpha Disposal Units are small, furry and ravenous creatures developed by Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as a cleaning service in the 1983 storybook The Muppets on the Road.
Since the creatures eat dirt, Bunsen unleashes them on the rundown Muppet Theatre, but the Alphas quickly get out of control, forcing the Muppets to vacate and take their show on the road.
Upon their return, the Muppets pay for the damages, and find that everything has been replaced. No sooner have they settled in, when a little noise is heard coming from the ceiling; the Alphas have returned.
