Amy Sedaris (b. 1961) is a comedian best known for her role in Strangers with Candy, which she co-wrote with Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert.
Sedaris appeared in Sesame Street Season 37, playing Snow White in Episode 4114, and as herself talking with Cookie Monster about her favorite snack (an apple) in Episode 4129. She later joked "He wasn't part of the old 'Sesame Street.' He's kinda new, and he's red," she says, racking her memory. "Now I'm gonna be obsessed with trying to remember that friggin' puppet's name."[1] Sedaris later guest starred in the 2020 special Elmo's Playdate: Scavenger Hunt.
Sedaris appeared on Sesame Street parody Wonder Showzen playing Miss Amy, a storytelling crack-addict fairy, and hosts the truTV series At Home with Amy Sedaris.
