Anansi the Spider is an African folklore character that was adapted into a series of animated segments for Sesame Street. First airing in Season 26, the segments were produced and directed by Fred Garbers with music composed by Alan Cagan.
Each segment begins with Maria (heard in voice-over) introducing Anansi who tells a traditional African folk story.
