Anderson Cooper is a television news journalist for the cable/satellite news network CNN. Anderson Cooper began his news reporting career on Channel One News (broadcast in school classrooms.) He gained some measure of fame for hosting the first two seasons of the ABC reality-program The Mole, which featuring players competing in various locales while trying to determine which one of them was secretly a mole that was attempting to sabotage the game.

Anderson Cooper has risen quickly at CNN, now hosting a nightly program known as Anderson Cooper 360.

Cooper will appear on Season 38 of Sesame Street in an insert featuring the characters Walter Cranky, Dan Rathernot and Oscar the Grouch. A preview of Cooper in this segment was aired on 360.

Cooper also interviewed Kermit the Frog, as a guest host with Kelly Ripa on Live with Regis and Kelly, on December 8, 2006.
