Andrew Lloyd Webber (b. 1948) is a composer who has created some of the more successful productions in modern musical theatre. Lyricist and collaborator Don Black credited him with having "single-handedly reinvented the musical."[1]
The Muppets caricatured Webber in the 2017 novel Muppets Meet the Classics: The Phantom of the Opera where Floyd Pepper played him as "Andrew Floyd Webber".
Webber's musicals have been spoofed by the Muppets including Evita, Cats, and The Phantom of the Opera.
His other work includes Jesus Christ Superstar, Starlight Express, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard, and others. He also wrote additional material for a 2011 production of The Wizard of Oz, and wrote a musical version of the Jack Black movie School of Rock.
