An animated version of Animal appeared in the 1985 show Little Muppet Monsters. Animal participated in "Muppet Sports Shorts" segments, demonstrating different sporting activities.
The format was similar to the Goofy "How To" theatrical shorts. A voice-over narrator (Tug Monster) would explain the steps of each sport, and Animal would attempt to comply, in his own comedic fashion.
