Anja Schmidt (b. 1950) is a Swedish actress who dubbed Shelley Snipes and was the dubbing co-director for Mupparna I Rymden (Muppets from Space). She co-directed the dubbing of Elmo På Äventyr i Grouchland (The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland) and voiced Big Bird.
Schmidt made her film debut in the 1970 movie Joe Hill, and in 1974 she started doing professional theater as well. Since then, she has appeared in numerous stage plays and TV/movie roles. In addition to her work as a dubbing director, she has been casting director for several live-action productions, including the horror film Frostbiten, and has also been a director and script writer. She dubbed Granny in Space Jam.
