Anja Wood is a cellist who plays with the Sesame Street band, receiving credit for Season 44 and Season 45.

On Broadway, Wood plays cello for the musical Hamilton. Previous shows include Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, the 2015 musical version of Doctor Zhivago, Shrek the Musical (with John Tartaglia), and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (with John Lithgow). On records or in concert, she has backed the Dixie Chicks, Rufus Wainright, Rod Stewart, David Bowie (on his 2013 single "The Next Day"), Audra McDonald, and Barbra Streisand. She played on the NBC series Smash and the film soundtracks for Across the Universe, Waitress, and The Tempest (with Helen Mirren).

Wood is married to violinist Antoine Silverman, who also plays with the Sesame band. Outside of music, she is president and co-founder of the Lelt Foundation, devoted to helping feed and educate impoverished families in Ethiopia.
