Anne Burrell is a chef and television personality, best known for her appearances on various Food Network series, including as host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, as co-host and judge on Worst Cooks in America, as one of Mario Batali's sous-chefs on Iron Chef America, and as a contestant on The Next Iron Chef and Chopped All-Stars.
Burrell frequently uses the phrase "brown food tastes good," said in a deep, gravelly voice, and described on multiple occasions by herself as a "Cookie Monster voice."[1][2]
In a 2018 video for Travel + Leisure, Cookie Monster visited Phil & Anne's Good Time Lounge, a restaurant in Brooklyn co-founded by Burrell. There, Burrell showed Cookie Monster how to cook a cheeseburger and tater tots. Cookie quoted Burrell's "brown food tastes good" phrase, and after eating the meal, he also ate a napkin that Burrell gave him.
