"Another Sunny Day" was written for the Sesame Street Live show Out of This World. It is considered a "continuation" of the theme song, about how "even an ordinary day can be an extraordinary one." An abridged version of the song with some new lyrics was then used in the show Make a New Friend.
The song was the official theme of the Sesame Street float in the 2006 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The song is also used in the Sesame Place show, Abby Cadabby's Treasure Hunt and at the opening ceremony of Spaghetti Space Chase at Universal Studios Singapore.
