Anthony O'Donnell is a Welsh character actor who appeared in The StoryTeller episode "The Luck Child" as the little man.
O'Donnell performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company for over fifteen years, with roles including Snug in Midsummer Night's Dream, while film and TV Shakespeare includes the Kenneth Branagh directed Love's Labour's Lost and the ShakespeaRe-Told version of Much Ado About Nothing (as a modern Dogberry). He made his TV debut on A Play for Today in 1976, followed by one-shots on The Onedin Line, The Sweeney, Crown Court, and a regular role on the 1979 sitcom Lovely Couple.
O'Donnell continued the guest rounds on A Very Peculiar Practice and The Last Detective (both with Peter Davison), Minder, The Bill, Doc Martin, Holby City, and The Crown. He recurred on the comedy drama Stella (2012-2015) and arc stints on The Tomorrow People and The Sarah Jane Adventures. He doubled in the TV movie Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures as the real investigator assigned to her disappearance and Christie's fictional Hercule Poirot.
Films include Santa Claus: The Movie (as an elf), Vera Drake (with Imelda Staunton), Secrets & Lies (with Brenda Blethyn), Scoop (with Hugh Jackman), Two Men Went to War (with Derek Jacobi), Dream Horse, and Skyfall. On radio, he played Don Pulido in a 1997 serial version of The Mark of Zorro.
