Ask Elmo and Chef Art Smith about Healthy Habits
Art Smith is an American celebrity chef, specializing in Southern cuisine. best known for his stints with then-Florida Governor Bob Graham and with Oprah Winfrey.
On November 15, 2010, Sesame Street's Food for Thought program released a YouTube clip called "Ask Elmo and Chef Art Smith about Healthy Habits." Questions could be submitted through the Google Moderator box on the channel's page. The segment was filmed at the Dr. Oz Health Expo in Chicago. Later segment "From the Market to Your Table" followed Smith around shopping. (YouTube)
The following year, on March 30, 2011, Smith appeared with Elmo on The Dr. Oz Show.
One of his culinary internships was with the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom College Program. He serves on the board of governors for Kids Café, a Minnesota nutrition program. He has cooked for both Barack Obama and the King of Sweden.
