Jill is Jesse's mother and Elmo's aunt. She appeared in the 2010 Sesame Street special When Families Grieve, mourning the loss of her husband, Jack.
Jill is shown sparingly in the special, but makes more prominent appearances in the resource materials for the initiative, including "Give Your Heart a Little Time" and a downloadable storybook. [1]
