Autumn Zitani Stefano

Autumn Zitani (also credited as Autumn Zitani-Stefano) started working on curriculum and content for Sesame Workshop in 2003. As the Senior Director of Content for Sesame Workshop's Curriculum and Content Department, she is responsible for the development and implementation of the entire educational curriculum of Sesame Street. She reviews, creates and integrates educational and developmentally appropriate content across Sesame Workshop’s media platforms; including television, digital media, outreach and licensed products.

In addition to overseeing the curriculum of the main show itself, she was an integral part of the research and development of Sesame Beginnings, The Furchester Hotel, "Abby's Flying Fairy School," the updated "Elmo's World" format, the "Math Is Everywhere" initiative, and multiple home videos (including Elmo's Potty Time and A Sesame Street Christmas Carol). She became a credited writer for the show in season 50.

Zitani appeared at TIFF Kids International Film Festival in 2013 to present a Sesame Workshop "Master Class" alongside Sonia Manzano, Joey Mazzarino, and Nadine Zylstra. She also appeared at SXSW in March 2018 alongside Ian Chernichaw, Benjamin Lehmann, and Justin Simonich as part of a panel on how the show updated "Elmo's World" in 2017 for a new generation of children.
