Avocados From Mexico is a non-profit organization that promotes the sale of Mexican avocados in the United States.
In January 2016, Avocados From Mexico released a series of videos starring chef Pati Jinich and Sesame Streetโs Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Rosita who talk about the benefits of eating avocados.[1] A series of videos starring Univision personality Maggie Jimenez and the Sesame Muppets was also produced.[2]
Later that year, Avocados From Mexico launched a breakfast-focused campaign called the "Avocado Breakfast Club." Sesame Street characters were featured on store displays and signage.[3]
Both the videos and the "Avocado Breakfast Club" campaign tied into Michelle Obama's national "Eat Brighter!" initiative.
