Walk-around versions of Baby Bear have been created for public appearances, including the Sesame Street Live stage shows and the Sesame Place theme parks. Baby Bear appeared at Sesame Place starting in 2005, but was demoted to a seasonal character in 2018. He also appeared at Busch Gardens Tampa (2016-17).
While in Let's Be Friends the Baby Bear walk-around was naked like his puppet counterpart, starting with 1-2-3 Imagine! he would be depicted wearing overalls.
