Baby Cookie Monster appears in the Sesame Beginnings series consisting of direct-to-home-video releases and related media. Baby Cookie's tastes are generally similar to that of the older Cookie Monster: he loves cookies, and parties as well. Baby Cookie Monster is 16 months old, and is primarily seen with his Grandma in these appearances.
Outside of Sesame Beginnings, Cookie Monster has also been seen as a baby in "The First Time Me Eat Cookie". Baby Cookie made another appearance in a 2024 social media video (played here by Cookie's regular performer David Rudman). The puppet has also been recycled as Cookie Monster's niece.
For a time, the Baby Cookie Monster puppet appeared on display at The University of Connecticut's Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry.
