An animated version of Banana Nose Maldonado appeared in the Little Muppet Monsters episode "In the Beginning." In a "Kermit the Frog, Private Eye" segment, Banana Nose is Kermit's nemesis, responsible for the theft of Miss Piggy's piggy bank (or rather, froggy bank) through his accomplice, Sterling Elephant.
Despite his convincing polar bear disguise (complete with banana nose), the amphibian detective still manages to recognize him... with the aid of a little lucky guesswork.
