Barbara Mariconda is a children's book author and educator. She worked on Sesame Street Music Magazine (1982-1985) as part of the creative staff, while on the accompanying records, she played the narrator who interacts with the characters, as well as singing vocals. She also wrote the 1984 book The Muppet Music Dictionary.
Mariconda's earliest work was in music and she played piano on the 1981 gospel album Follow Me. Her books include Turn the Cup Around, The Voyage of Lucy P. Simmons, Sort It Out, Ten for Me, several pre-school picture books, and books about writing.
