Miller in Prop Culture
Barbara Miller is the Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs for the Museum of the Moving Image. In her role at the museum, Miller oversaw the acquisition of items donated from the Henson family, and curated both The Jim Henson Exhibition and the traveling version of the exhibit. She has also hosted and moderated many panels and livestream conversations in the "Jim Henson's World" screening series. She also interacted with Gobo Fraggle at the 2013 press conference announcing the development of the permanent exhibit.
On screen, Miller has served as a public face for the exhibit and presented items from the collection. She appeared in the Prop Culture episode focusing on The Muppet Movie, unveiling the Hardware Gonzo to Daniel Lanigan, and discussed Miss Piggy (both the character and the puppet in the exhibit) in the 2024 CBS Saturday Morning feature on Piggy's 50th anniversary. She also gave Adam Savage a tour of the exhibit in a 2017 video for Tested. (YouTube)
