Barbara Wood, also credited as Bobbie Wood, is a retired sound effects artist who worked on several Sesame Street albums, and on the show itself from season 3 to season 7. She also did sound effects, with Dick Maitland, on the Muppet specials The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
Wood did sound effects on The Electric Company as well, but spent most of her career primarily at ABC. She shared multiple Daytime Emmy Awards for Technical Excellence for her sound work on All My Children. She worked on other soap operas, ABC news broadcasts, and The $20,000 Pyramid. Records included a Troll collection of children's scary stories.
Outside of sounds, Wood has served as a dog show judge and written articles about dog breeding and training.
