Barney is a mailman who appears in Episode 2449 of Sesame Street.
He comes to the street, which is the last stop of his shift. He notices Big Bird and Snuffy, who have been waiting for him to retrieve their unstamped letter from the mailbox and are now fast asleep. He slowly opens the mailbox and shuts it without any noise, but sneezes, waking the two up. He looks for their letter and provides them with a stamp to properly send it to Granny Bird.
