Baxter is one of the three human leads of the 1995 special Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.
He is the rather stoic butler of Willowby Manor, serving Mr. Willowby. Upon the arrival of their Christmas tree, Baxter sensibly lops off the top of the tree which extends beyond the ceiling height. He is ordered to bring the partitioned tree segment to the house maid Miss Adelaide, which he is hesitant to do at first. However, in doing so, he finds himself wrapped up in some of her Swedish holiday traditions, and recognizing her kind soul, becomes smitten with her.
Later on, he is seen standing outside in the snow with the sprig of tree she's gifted to him, listening to her sing outside her window. During the climactic Christmas party, he impresses her with his dancing skills.
