Baxter Bird is a bird friend of Big Bird's who resides in the tree outside of 123 Sesame Street. He appears in Episode 1001 of Sesame Street.
He frets that his nest is too small for him and agrees to swap nests with Big Bird. The two soon run into problems, as Big Bird struggles to get comfortable in such a small, precarious place. Baxter equally struggles with now living in a spacious nest in a much more social area, preventing him from napping. The two agree to change back, but decide to share Big Bird's nest for a warm nap together.
