"Be My Love" is a song originally written to be performed by Mario Lanza and Kathryn Grayson for the 1950 film, The Toast of New Orleans. It has since been covered by other artists, including Andy Williams and Andrea Bocelli.

In episode 417 of The Muppet Show, Mark Hamill uses the song as a part of his audition for guest star. He manages to get through the opening line, using an exaggerated baritone voice, before Fozzie Bear and Kermit the Frog cut him off.
