Bedtime Stories & Songs is a 1986 Sesame Street direct-to-video compilation, released on VHS as part of the My Sesame Street Home Video label. The video was re-released with different segments under the new title of Sleepytime Songs & Stories in 1996, and on DVD in 2005.

The framing story involves Big Bird speaking to the audience, offering advice on the best ways to fall asleep, with many characters stopping by throughout the video.

Because he believes the viewers tuning in aren't asleep yet, he gives some demonstrations on some good ways to get settled in and relaxed, but his demonstrations only work on birds. Eventually, he finds a way that works for everyone.... to which he then falls asleep.

Big Bird advises the baby to count sheep, but she doesn't know how to count. Instead, they imagine Count von Count counting sheep.

Susan peeks out the window and asks Buster what he's doing. He mentions his confusion on how Big Bird and Telly fell asleep the way they did, and demonstrates to Susan his own way of falling asleep, much to her own surprise.

Notes

The back cover of the original video release mentions Kermit the Frog among the list of featured characters, though he doesn't appear in the actual video.
