Bergdorf Goodman is a luxury department store located in New York City. The company was founded in 1899, and was later sold into the Goodman family. Two stores are in operation, located across from each other on Fifth Avenue. The store has became part of the landscape of New York City, appearing in the television series Sex and the City, as a favorite shopping destination for Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).
Scenes with Miss Piggy and Joan Rivers in the film The Muppets Take Manhattan were filmed at the famed store.
