Bernovoncramm

Berno von Cramm (b. 1934) is a German voice actor who has been heard in many Muppet dubs, starting with guest stars and cameo roles. Beginning in 1993 with the dub of The Muppet Christmas Carol, von Cramm took over as the voice of Miss Piggy (part of a Disney Character Voices International effort to replace women who'd dubbed the role with male voice actors in comedic falsetto, closer to the original sound). He reprised the pig in all projects through It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie.

Von Cramm worked most often in TV dubbing, including Bill Bixby on My Favorite Martian, several guest roles on the original Star Trek, and even more in the Law & Order franchise (including Charles Grodin and Michael McKean). On The Simpsons, his longest running assignment, he lent his voice to Dr. Hibbert, Lionel Hutz, Superintendant Chalmers, Mr. Largo, Bob Hope, Ian McKellen, and many others (including the parody version of Miss Piggy). Other cartoon roles include Preston Whitmore in Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire and the ant general and others on Maya the Bee.

He dubbed John Cleese in the Harry Potter movies, John Lithgow in Hollow Point, Ian Holm in A Life Less Ordinary, Leslie Nielsen in Camouflage, and Derek Jacobi in Endgame. His occasional on-camera credits include appearances on Tatort, Der Alte, a 1981 TV version of Man of La Mancha (as Dr. Carrasco), the Edgar Wallace movie The Man with the Glass Eye, and an episode of the 1966 US series Blue Light (with Robert Goulet).
