Cavemen Bert and Ernie invent several things with rocks while trying to build a house for their pet dinosaur, Spot.
As they struggle to get a round rock up a hill, it rolls back down and knocks over some bones, which means they've invented bowling.
Bert takes a turn and the rock lands on Spot's head, piercing a hole in the rock. Suddenly, a Ticklesaurus appears and the two try to make a break for it. They end up rolling on top of the rock, and chase the Ticklesaurus away. A stick is put through the hole in the rock, which makes it a wheel.
Next, they use the wheel and Spot as a wheelbarrow to lift the rocks up the hill. They finally make a home for Spot, which rolls down the hill (making it a mobile home).
