Beyoncé is a top-selling, multi-award winning pop star, actor, and businesswoman.
As a member of Destiny's Child, she appeared on Sesame Street in 2002. The Muppets have occasionally performed her songs and made several references to the star's solo career.
Her film roles have included Austin Powers in Goldmember (with Mike Myers), The Fighting Temptations (with Cuba Gooding, Jr.), The Pink Panther (with Steve Martin), Dreamgirls (with Jamie Foxx), and 2019's The Lion King (with Donald Glover).

- In 2014, Miss Piggy was in Toronto promoting Muppets Most Wanted. A journalist asked who would play Miss Piggy, in a biopic of Miss Piggy's life: her reply was "moi". Pressed further, she suggested Beyoncé would be a candidate.[1]
- Beyoncé was referenced by the Facebook page of Shalom Sesame, who asked "Who runs the world? YELADOT".[2]
- In The Muppets episode "Got Silk?", Uncle Deadly and Miss Piggy pretend that she has a meeting with Beyoncé.
- Miss Piggy performs Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," reproducing the dance moves from the original video, in The Muppets episode "Generally Inhospitable."

- During Muppets Haunted Mansion, a sharply-dressed Pepe the King Prawn thinks he's accompanying Gonzo to a celebrity-filled Halloween party, which is really an invitation to stay overnight in a haunted house. Upon entry, he asks their host where the celebrity room is so he can "mingle with the Beyoncés, the Ryan Goslings, the Bard Pitts."
- In The Muppets Mayhem episode "Virtual Insanity," a tweet by the Electric Mayhem manages to get under the skin of many fandoms, including the Beyhive, with their leader played by Nicole Byer.
- Following the release of Beyoncé's album Cowboy Carter in 2024, Elmo tweeted lyrics parodying Beyoncé's song "Texas Hold 'Em": "This ain't Texas, this is Sesame Street!", accompanied by a picture of Elmo riding a horse.[3]
