The Big-Bottomed Rumpit appears in The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss episode "The Mystery of Winna-Bango Falls."
He is a very large creature, with a fondness for cheese and salami sandwiches. He is a major element in the ensured demise of Lake Winna-Bango, as his large form resting on the hilltop blocks the flow of water. Despite pleas from Thidwick the Moose, the Rumpit refuses to move; he finds the water refreshing and the breeze appropriately balmy in this particular area.
As explained by a McZuff, Bingle-Bugs are the only thing that can get him to move, and the chain reaction of removing fruzzle floom fruit peels from the area has prevented their appearance in the area. Thidwick is eventually able to set things right again and the Bingle-Bugs are free to take part in their favorite past time - stinging the Rumpit, who gets so bothered that he has no choice but to move, letting the water flow once again.
