Big Bird's Balloon Race was a Sesame Street-themed balloon tower ride at Sesame Place that lifted riders over 40-feet in the air, giving them a "big bird's eye view".
Each of the 8 balloons featured a different Sesame Street character on the globe. The characters included Big Bird, Count von Count, Cookie Monster, Bert, Elmo, Ernie, Zoe, and Grover.
The ride originally opened alongside Grover's World Twirl for the 2003 season.[1] In 2014, the ride was redecorated and renamed to "Flying Cookie Jars" as part of Cookie's Monster Land.
