Bohnert's credit in The Great Santa Claus Switch
Bill Bohnert (1932–2022) was an art director and production designer who worked primarily on variety shows, sketch series, and specials. As set designer for The Ed Sullivan Show (including the Muppets' spots such as Big Bird's dance number), he carried over to the special The Great Santa Claus Switch in the same capacity but with more scope, designing Santa's Workshop and other locations. Bohnert went on to work on The Electric Company.
For Sid and Marty Krofft, Bohnert was art director on Donny & Marie (for which he was nominated for two Emmy Awards), The Brady Bunch Hour, and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Other TV credits include game shows such as Password, American Gladiators, America's Funniest Home Videos, and specials starring Perry Como, Richard Pryor, and Jerry Seinfeld. On Broadway, he was scenic designer for the 1984 production Doug Henning & His World of Magic.
