Blood and Wine is a 1996 film with elements of crime drama and black comedy. Jim Henson's Creature Shop provided the effects for an animatronic shark.
Alex Gates (Jack Nicholson), a Miami-area wine merchant, is heavily in debt, and he can't get along with his alcoholic wife (Judy Davis) or his stepson (Stephen Dorff). He decides to steal an expensive necklace with his mistress and illegal immigrant Gabby (Jennifer Lopez) and an aging criminal (Michael Caine). Things start to fall apart when his wife finds out and gets involved.
