Blowinwind

"Number Guy" asks the musical question.

"Blowin' in the Wind" is a song written by Bob Dylan and released on his 1963 album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Although it has been described as a protest song, it poses a series of philosophical questions about peace, war, and freedom without supplying concrete answers.

  • All of the Number Guy segments are parodies of "Blowin' in the Wind".
  • In a Global Grover sketch, Grover returns from Puerto Rico with a marimba fruit that has been turned into a guiro. He then tries to do the same with a large watermelon. When it won't play like a guiro does, he tries blowing into it like a wind instrument. When that fails, he states, "The answer is not blowin' in the wind instrument."
