Bob Schwarz (b. 1931) first worked with the Muppets as director of the 1965 Cinderella pilot, followed by various episodes of Sesame Street in the 1970s and '80s, including multiple episodes during the week of the Hawaii trip (ending with Episode 1095).
Schwarz had been a stage manager for CBS and also directed on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Electric Company, and soap operas such as Search for Tomorrow, Another World, and As the World Turns. After retiring in 1997, he shifted into art, sculpting and creating three-dimensional pieces.
